FYI - if you want to use a controller connected to your iPhone/iPad (useful if you’re physically out of controller range from the Xbox), the controller NEEDS to be a Made for iOS/MFI certified to work with the app directly. I was a bit confused by the App Store and their site’s language about the ability to use an Xbox controller with the app - you can, but it needs to connect to the Xbox itself, not the iPad - but got a quick response from the developer clearing it up. Particularly impressive given that (I assume) the developer reverse engineered the connection protocol. The game runs smoothly, and except for my original Xbox controller occasionally losing its connection to the Xbox when the iPad interfered with it (fixed by getting a Bluetooth Xbox controller), I don’t have any issues.

Never again will your gaming be interrupted when someone else needs to use the TV! Ericlitman, Flawless local network support, quick service response I’ve been playing Red Dead Remption 2 via OneCast running Red Dead Redemption 2 on a 5GHz, Netgear Orbi-based network successfully from both my 2018 iPad Pro and a 2018 MacBook Pro, surprisingly connecting to an Xbox on the same WiFi network (not hardwired to the AP or router).

Stream your Xbox One games to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and play from anywhere with access to your home network. Take the awesome power of your Microsoft Xbox One console, and give it the portability and convenience of the Nintendo Switch. There’s also a 14-day free trial on offer, too, so gamers can try OneCast out for themselves ahead of making a purchase. So now would be the time to pick the app up if you think you might make use of it. Yet that's par for the course when it comes to in-home game streaming, as I've had similar issues with Valve's free Steam Link for PC gaming and even Microsoft's own streaming client for PC and Android. Right now anyone wanting to get their hands on OneCast can do so for $9.99, although the regular price is $20. Gaming via OneCast was mostly a seamless experience, though I did encounter a rare occasional hiccup now and then.
